Phthalates are chemicals that are added to plastics to make them flexible and durable, they don't exist in the natural world so any contact is through man made products. Cornish Sardines PGI 2009. I've been to Cornwall with friends and they've gone nuts over these little beauties. Sardines go by many names, Pilchard, young herring, Sardinella and host of location specific titles. The name is thought have originated from Sardinia where the young fish would shoal in millions. Traditinal Grimsby Smoked Cod or Haddock PGI 2009. Now as anyone who's read any of the fishier posts on here will know I'm not a fan of the fishy fish, smoked Cod or Haddock though is fine by me. Cooked in milk a bayleaf or two, a few pepercorns, small clove of galic unskinned and crushed, a handful of parsley, some of the cooking milk reduced and thickend with more fresh pasley to make a sauce and served up with some new potatoes and fine green beans. This gentleman is Ron Finley AKA the Gangsta Gardener and a true inspiration Outside Ron's home was a strip of land that had been a dumping ground for years, old furniture, tvs, concrete and who knows what else, one day Ron decided enough was enough.
